I am not a fan of store-bought “sport drinks” so i began making my own. the general idea behind sport drinks is electrolyte replacement. while this is great in theory, sport drinks - in my opinion - are generally not very tasty and often are full of unnecessary ingredients like artificial sweeteners. grab your blender bottle and replace electrolytes as you hydrate naturally and save money. as a bonus, one ingredient in this recipe might replace your deodorant!
(I get my trace mineral drops and chlorophyll from Whole Foods)
the recipe includes these BCAAs, which are optional!
blender bottle (or other water bottle)
20ish oz. filtered water - clean hydration
5-7 drops of trace minerals - electrolyte replacement
15 drops of liquid concentrate chlorophyll - alkalinizing, internal deodorizer
fresh grapefruit juice (or other citrus) - natural sweetener and flavor
(optional) 1 level scoop of fruit punch BCAAs - branch chain amino acids to aid with muscle recovery and counter muscle fatigue
shake well and enjoy during your next workout!
