Join me for a two-hour homecoming workshop in my the place where I grew up, Kansas City, MO!
Please bring a mat, water, something to take notes, comfotable clothes to move in, and light layers in case it gets chilly (think sweater, socks, etc.).
During our time together I will demonstrate and teach simple self-guided breath techniques you can use to deepen your pactice, hush anxious thoughts, and control rush-hour frustrations. We will also move through a simple, grounded, calming practice you can take home and do on your own whenever you need to gently move, ground, and balance.
Tantric Hatha is a classically based breath and alignment guided style of hatha yoga that never rushes and is always purposeful. We'll discuss the energetics behind each shape and how these yoga principles can be used both on and off of your mat. All levels welcome.
Please note: 100% of ticket sales for this event will go toward the web design and branding for a nonprofit being founded by Kala, which will aim to provide free, online, yoga-based resources for those coping with loss, trauma, pre-trauma, anxiety and depression.
